The built-in front cam found in our smart phones often serve as a mirror and selfie camera in one - we have always enjoyed this convenience without thinking about it that much.

But if you truly think about it, whenever we are applying makeup using the front cam - and that includes regular mirrors outside of the digital world - we are following the flipped version of ourselves - or else the 'horizontal flip' that is not accurate to what the world truly sees - unless you have been blessed with a perfectly symmetrical face, that is.

With the regular selfie cam, you do not really have the option to check yourself in the dark - unless you have external lighting. This app allows you to light up the screen in dark places so you could properly see your face. 

This app also lets you freeze the 'mirror' in case you want to check a particular detail - perhaps using zoom - which this app also has, even during live usage. 

You have the option to choose the resolution you desire. You have the ability to control brightness settings. 

And finally, there's the very useful horizontal flipping - which you can use not just as the setting for your captured selfie - but the actual orientation of the screen during LIVE usage - so that you can accurately align those features and not have to dread seeing how you could look like in normal photos.
